**Job Title: Wind Turbine Technician (Automotive/Diesel Mechanics Encouraged to apply!)**
**Job Description**
As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for reading job cards to determine the status, work authorizations, and limitations, as well as estimating and describing any problems and expected serviceability. You will test, disassemble, clean, and reassemble electro-mechanical equipment, noting parts identification, configuration, and condition, and accurately complete paperwork for each job.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment using various methods.
+ Disassemble and clean equipment assemblies using parts washers, steamers, and other cleaning methods.
+ Measure and requisition replacement parts and repair or replace worn or defective assemblies.
+ Re-test equipment for proper operation and output.
+ Operate specialized repair and testing equipment as needed.
+ Observe safety procedures and use protective gear.
+ Lift, tighten, adjust, and secure heavy objects.
+ Maintain a clean work area and assist other mechanics or shop personnel.
+ Perform skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by management.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5 years of maintenance experience (Automotive or Diesel Mechanic experience works!) or 1 year of wind turbine tech experience
+ Electrical troubleshooting up to 480 V
+ Installation skills
+ Turbine motor service and troubleshooting
+ Simple welding and fabrication experience
+ Working on cars and motors with brake replacements is a plus
+ Possessing a CDL and driving a truck and trailer is a plus

**Work Environment**
Work outside on a wind farm, performing installations, troubleshooting breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and documenting repairs. Must be open to climbing up to 280 feet and traveling across the US, working on job sites for 2-6 weeks at a time. Day shifts are required.

This is a Contract position based out of Pasco, WA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
