NTI Offshore/Marine/Industrial is seeking experienced Structural Welders to join our team for shipyard fabrication projects in Mobile, AL. Candidates must have strong GMAW skills, the ability to read blueprints, and experience welding structural components in a marine environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform MIG welding on structural steel (4mm–25mm) for frames, gussets, T-bars, and foundations.
• Execute multi-pass fillet and full penetration welds in all positions with minimal correction.
• Read and interpret ship drawings, weld symbols, and job specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure work meets ABS and company standards.
• Work safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Assist and mentor less-experienced welders as needed.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of GMAW (MIG) welding experience in the marine or shipyard industry.
• Ability to pass a Class A full penetration weld test.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of ship structures.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and adapt to varying job conditions.
• Must be able to work overtime or shifts as required.
The pay rate is $30 per hour, and no per diem is provided.
