Job Summary: We are seeking a Sales Development Rep to support our outside sales team and work closely with our channel partners to generate new leads and sales opportunities. This role is critical to the success of our sales efforts, as you will assist in qualifying leads, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between sales reps, partners, and customers.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Qualification & Opportunity Creation - Qualify inbound leads and pass them to the outside sales team, ensuring all relevant details are captured.
- Research target accounts to identify key contacts, current solutions, business challenges, and data protection needs
- Support lead generation activities through cold calling, email campaigns, and follow-ups.
Customer Engagement - Manage communication with potential clients, answering questions and providing introductory information.
- Follow up with leads and prospects to keep them engaged throughout the sales cycle.
CRM & Reporting - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM.
- Track and report on lead generation performance and provide insights to improve the sales process.
Qualifications and Experience: - 1+ years of lead-generation or inside sales experience, preferably in SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud services, or IT infrastructure.
- Strong desire to grow a career in technology sales
- Experience working with channel partners (e.g., VARs, distributors) is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is preferred.
- This role sits in our Herndon, VA office, must be within a commutable distance to office
