What You Will Do We're looking for an experienced payroll analyst to join the team and contribute to our success. As a Payroll Analyst you will interact with other Stryker employees ensuring exceptional service and timely and accurate responses to all inquiries.

As a Payroll Analyst you will be required to occasionally come into the Kalamazoo office. Ideally you will spend one to two days of your choosing each week onsite.
Additional responsibilities:
- Execute daily payroll operations, including defensive data queries, payroll setup maintenance (earnings/deductions codes, tax mapping, garnishment vendors, SUI rates, GL costing), time transaction review, payroll processing, auditing, error correction, and distribution.
- Review, analyze, reconcile, and interpret payroll data related to taxation, garnishments, and regulatory compliance for multi-state payrolls; validate interfaces with ADP and third-party systems.
- Provide responsive, high-quality customer service to employees and managers regarding payroll inquiries via phone and online channels.
- Investigate and resolve escalated payroll issues submitted through the myHR portal by identifying root causes and delivering timely resolutions.
- Partner with HR business teams and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to resolve complex payroll issues and ensure accurate employee payments.
- Collaborate with divisional finance teams to resolve reconciliation discrepancies and drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of electronic and manual payroll transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform regression and functional testing of system changes to ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll system updates and enhancements.
What You Need Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of work experience in payroll
Preferred Qualifications - Previous business-facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role related experience
- Experience supporting Americas payroll regulations (U.S. and Canada)
- 1+ years of federal, state, and local tax reporting experience
- Demonstrated expertise in HRIS and payroll systems; preferred experience with ADP systems and Workday Payroll
- Experience using MS Office specifically advanced MS Excel and analytical skills
- Typing proficiency and experience using a case management system such as ServiceNow
