Responsibilities

The George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) continues to be a leader in providing the highest level of quality and compassionate healthcare for the D.C. GW Hospital achieved "High Performing" status in two specialty areas, Neurology and Neuroscience.

Patient Care Technician (PCT / CNA) 

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient responses.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of CNA certification course, Medical Assistant Course, or (2) years of nursing school.
  • At least 6 month of recent patient care experience in a healthcare facility settings.
  • Acute Care experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
