Location: Dallas, TexasJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $35 - 45 per hourWe are seeking a creative and dynamic Sports Content Creator/Social Media Specialist to spearhead the creation and management of high-quality social media content for sports medicine initiatives. This role requires a go-getter who can translate complex clinical and research concepts into engaging, accessible content tailored for parents and young athletes. The Specialist will be instrumental in supporting major new partnerships and content initiatives in the community.Responsibilities:Content Strategy & Creation: Proactively generate new content ideas and creative concepts (e.g., "Ask the Expert" series, patient features, interviews) to drive engagement across social platforms. Shoot, edit, and produce high-quality video and photo content primarily for Instagram and the potential launch of TikTok . Transform high-level research and clinical ideas from the sports medicine team into clear, compelling, and non-clinical social media posts. On-Site Coverage & Coordination: Regularly travel to and work from the client campus to capture timely content and cover events, procedures, and activations related to sports medicine. Act as the primary content liaison with the campus-based sports team. Utilize provided equipment (e.g., dedicated iPhone cameras, microphones) for content capture. Content Management & Approvals: Manage and schedule all social media content using Sprout Social . Navigate and adhere to the established content approval processes, including review by the care team (for clinical accuracy) and final approval from the comms team. Writing & Editing: Draft engaging captions and short-form copy that links to longer-form content (e.g., blog posts). Ensure all content aligns with brand voice and appeals directly to the parent audience. Qualifications: Proven experience in social media content creation (video production, editing, photography) across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Strong creative portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify complex topics into easily digestible social content. Familiarity with the local Dallas/Frisco sports scene and genuine passion for youth sports and research. Proficiency in using a social media management platform such as Sprout Social. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and content streams simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate with clinical staff and patient families.
