Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled Manufacturing Mechanic/Electrical Technician in Channelview TX . In this demanding and rigorous role, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing facility. In a Manufacturing Electrical Tech role you’ll be responsible for:

• Various dismantles, inspects, repairs, adjusts, and/or replaces faulty parts or wiring as required.
• Reassembles, tests, and adjusts equipment for safe and proper operation.
• Designs and or creates circuit diagrams and or specifications & instructions for users.
• Troubleshooting/diagnosing problems and determining the best way to correct them.
• Blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, metalworking, drafting, and quality and safety practices are highly recommended.

What you’ll need:

• 5 – 7 years related industrial experience.
• High school education. 2-year associate degree program at a community or technical college.
• Vocational school courses in mathematics and geometry, blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, metalworking, and drafting.
• Thorough knowledge of hydraulic and fluid systems, advanced electrical circuitry, and competent knowledge of PLC control systems.
