Seeking a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist the orthopedic trauma surgery team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing acute orthopedic injuries in a hospital or trauma setting and be confident working in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and other hospital staff.
Compensation:$800 Per Shift
Responsibilities Include:
First assist in the OR (if credentialed and experienced)
Perform orthopedic consults in ED and inpatient floors
Manage pre- and post-operative orthopedic patients
Perform joint reductions, splinting, and wound care
Order and interpret imaging and labs
Coordinate with trauma and surgical teams
Requirements:
Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Active Texas license and DEA
BLS/ACLS certification
Orthopedic and/or surgical first assist experience required
Prior experience in a trauma or hospital-based orthopedic setting required
