Stipend rates are contingent upon assessed needs of the personand subject to state approval. Stipend levels 18 through 21 are availableonly by special application to the purchasing governmental unit. Nonotuck is seeking a well-balanced, active and social male or couple to support a busy man with mild intellectual disability in a state funded model of care known as shared living. He has a home in Concord, MA to share with his new caregiver. He actively engages in social and recreational activities and enjoys being part of family life and community programs. He enjoys talking on the phone, socializing with friends, and spending time with his girlfriend. He would benefit from a supportive environment that encourages his independence while assisting with tasks like meal planning, transportation, and managing his schedule. Caregiver responsibilities will include planning and sharing meals, coordinating appointments and social activities, and providing assistance with budgeting, safety, and daily living skills. To qualify, all applicants must have First Aid and CPR training, a valid driver's license, own a car, pass a CORI, and meet AFC criteria. The caregiver will receive a generous stipend, training, and ongoing support. Clinical supports, nursing supports, and respite funds are also available, as needed.
