Cruise Whitsundays, based in Airlie Beach is the largest marine-based tour and transport provider in the Whitsundays. About the role
We are currently seeking passionate, motivated and energetic Kitchen Hand to join the Cruise Whitsundays team on a casual basis. This is your chance to create memorable guest experiences by supporting the Catering team to prepare and deliver exceptional high-quality food and assist the day to day kitchen operations. In addition to guest satisfaction, this role will involve overseeing hygiene, cleanliness and general safety in food preparation areas and assist with the delivery of stores and stock control.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Help prepare high quality food
Help maintain high standard of food safety and hygiene – washing dishes, keeping the workspace clean and tidy.
Assist with delivery of stores and stock control
About you
The ideal candidate will have a true passion for high quality food with a real commitment to delivering the best standards of food, ensuring our guests leave with lasting memories! You have an energy that’s dynamic and you have fun when you work!
To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
The necessary working entitlements to work in Australia with a minimum of 3-month commitment
Desire to advance your career in the kitchen
Knife skills (highly desired)
Self-motivated, with great energy – A real multitasker
Proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills
Impeccable personal integrity
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
Ability to manage time effectively, especially under pressure
Previous experience working in kitchens
Drivers Licence
