Job Description

Position: Pavement Grinder / Groover Operator (Heavy Equipment)

The Pavement Grinder / Groover Operator will be responsible for operating specialized heavy equipment to cut, grind, or groove concrete and asphalt for roads, highways, and other structures within the concrete pavement restoration industry.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Operate & maintain specialized diamond blade grinding and grooving equipment.
• Operate a semi-truck and water tanker with Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement.
• Adeptness in timekeeping and production.
• Have a basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to travel often and work long hours.
• Follow industry regulations to ensure safe operation of equipment in the field.
• All work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
• Standing, Walking, Climbing, stooping, and bending.
• Periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to all elements of terrains, loud noise, fumes, odors, gases, dust, etc.
• Work in close proximity to heavy traffic.
• Strong manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, applicable technical training or certifications.
• Previous experience and familiarity operating grinding and/or grooving equipment is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment when needed.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
