Job Description

The Role:

The Digital Render Artist will be required to create renders for products within the realm of packaging design and how they relate to print.

The Projects:

There are multiple CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) brands that offer flexibility, diversity and an array of projects to work on across food and non-food categories.

Core Responsibilities:

• Create photo realistic and conceptual renders of packaging and products using Foundry Modo
• Execute refinements as directed within the budgetary requirements
• Execute retouching of images as directed
• Must be able to problem solve, and work independently
• Accurately record tasks and hours as directed, and flag tasks that are in danger of exceeding budgeted hours
• Thrive within a fast paced environment working on multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are achieved
• Will be expected to work the hours necessary as dictated by our clients’ and business needs
• Develop an understanding of Kaleidoscope standards and client guidelines, as they relate to render and retouching deliverables

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in creating 3D renders
• Experience with 3D polygon software, preferably Modo; experience with Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, and/or 3D Studio Max could also be considered
• High level proficiency with Adobe Photoshop with an emphasis on image manipulation and color correction
• Must have Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent written, oral and visual communication skills
• Reliable, self-motivated and organized
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

Additional Notes:

• This is an hourly freelance position
• Adobe Illustrator proficiency, digital illustration skills, understanding of the print process, keylining, dielines, and converting colors & images for print would be a bonus, but are not required for this position
• If applicant does not have specific Modo experience, they will need to be willing to learn it quickly

Pay Range: $60 - $68 USD Per Hour
