Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Food Service Attendant - Hostess. You will ensure patients receive therapeutically correct trays, processes diet orders, collect and adjust menu selections according to dietary needs, and provide outstanding customer service.

 

Job Description

• Deliver and serve patient meals according to prescribed diet orders
• Collect menu selections using an iPad and adjust for modified diets, calorie counts, and fluid restrictions
• Process diet orders, prepare trayline menus, and ensure compliance with dietary guidelines
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
• Practice excellent customer service and service recovery techniques

 

Skills Required

• Must have customer service experience
• Six months of food service experience preferred
• Knowledge of modified diets, calorie counts, fluid restrictions, and departmental policies
• Ability to read and interpret diet orders and menu selections
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and math calculations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Skill in interpersonal relations and customer satisfaction
• Ability to use computers, iPads, and hospital dietary software

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school graduation or its equivalent
• ServSafe certificate preferred

 

Additional Requirements

• Shift: Rotating shifts/days - 7:30 am - 4:00pm; 11:30 - 8:00pm
• Dress code: White scrub top; black scrub pants (black cargo pants but no jeans, yoga pants or tight leggings) footware needs to be waterproof or resistant and skid proof

 

 

Pay Rate

• $17.00 per hour
