Fiber Optic Splicer

Akron, OH

We are currently seeking a full-time Fiber Optic Splicer to join our team in Akron, OH to join or construction team and support ongoing fiber installation projects.

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri
• 7 am-5 pm
• Some weekends may be required

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience required
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Valid CDL-A preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Splice and terminate fiber-optic cables in a variety of work settings
• Inspect, test, and diagnose fiber-optic systems to confirm they are operating correctly and meeting performance standards.
• Keep detailed and accurate documentation of completed work.
• Work closely with project managers and fellow technicians to organize and carry out fiber-optic installation jobs.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures when working in the field and when using tools and equipment.
• Preform routine upkeep and repairs on existing fiber-optic networks as required.
• Remain informed about new developments, tools, and best practices within fiber-optic technology.
• Complete all other duties assigned.
