Summary of the Position

The Assembly Technician position is an essential role on our manufacturing team. This position focuses on the assembly of parts and components for all Potter Global Technologies products. It is important that this position understands the importance of high quality and meeting industry standard specifications.

Essential Functions

1. Increase consistency in operations through the ability to read and follow written instructions from an operation manual when assembling products.
2. Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, box cutters and power tools to craft Potter Global Technologies products.
3. Complete packing operations by packaging parts into cartons and taping boxes using auto tape dispensers.
4. Serve as a partner to the Quality Control Team by ensuring all standard operating procedures and work instructions are followed.
5. Actively create a safe and secure work environment through adhering to all company safety measures.
6. Contribute to a collaborative environment by proactively resolving conflicts and being a supportive team member.
7. Collaborate with manufacturing leaders to accept feedback in an effort to increase performance and product quality.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Abilities and Qualifications

1. Ability to conduct repetitive movements of lightweight parts (up to 10 pounds/part)
2. Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
3. Able to interact with others in a respectful and collaborative manner.
4. Adequately read and follow written instructions from an operation manual.

**Required Qualifications **

• Movement of pallets containing completed parts using a pallet jack.
• Some operations require computer entries and must be accurate.
• Assembly Technician workers are required to rotate from job to job occasionally.
• Assembly Technicians may need to stand for an entire 10-hour shift (with breaks.) Some areas offer both sitting and standing.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel

This job operates in a warehouse/manufacturing setting where hand tools and parts are used to assemble products, such as pliers, screwdrivers, box cutters, power tools, screws, automatic tape dispensers.

This position is largely a standing role. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Prior experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting using tools to assemble small items is preferred.
