We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in promoting social interaction, creativity, and physical activity, contributing to the overall well-being of our participants.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of stimulating activities and programs tailored to the interests and abilities of participants.
- Facilitate small and large group activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Encourage and motivate community members to participate actively in programs and events.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate the success of activities and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and collect feedback to continuously enhance program offerings.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
- Support special events and seasonal activities, bringing creativity and energy to each initiative.
**Qualifications:**
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in recreation, gerontology, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with community programs is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse age groups.
- Creative, energetic, and adaptable, with a passion for making a positive impact on others' lives.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
