Job Description

This is an evergreen posting intended to collect interest from qualified candidates. It does not indicate that a specific position is currently open. Submitting your application is an expression of interest for future all Account Executive level opportunities at DroneDeploy.

Role Overview

As an Account Executive, you will be a partner to organizations across our core industries, including Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC), Energy, and emerging markets. You will own a defined territory and/or portfolio of accounts, with a mandate to drive both expansion within existing customers and net‑new business. This is a high‑impact, high‑autonomy role: you will shape account strategy, build stakeholder relationships, and deliver innovative solutions that redefine what’s possible in reality capture and field operations technology.

Beyond consistent quota attainment, success means navigating complex, consultative sales cycles, influencing multi‑stakeholder organizations, and leveraging cutting‑edge technology to drive measurable, real‑world outcomes.

Work Environment

> Work Model: Remote role based in the U.S. (based within your assigned region and within reasonable proximity to a major airport).

> Work Hours: Operate during standard business hours in your local time zone.

> Work Travel: Be in the field 25%-50% of the time for client meetings, prospect visits, and company events; domestic travel is required, with occasional international travel as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and Drive Growth: Take ownership of your territory or book of business, developing and executing account strategies that deliver measurable revenue growth across expansion and new logo acquisition.
  • Account Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders ranging from project leaders to C‑level executives, uncovering business challenges and architecting tailored solutions that maximize value and impact.
  • Autonomous Decision-Making: Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing opportunities, structuring deals, and navigating complex negotiations. You will have the latitude to make critical decisions that shape both customer outcomes and DroneDeploy’s market position.
  • Full Sales Lifecycle: Lead the entire customer journey—from prospecting and discovery through solution design, closing, onboarding, and ongoing expansion.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Product teams to deliver seamless, high-value experiences for your clients.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry and technology trends in reality capture, AI, and field operations, positioning DroneDeploy as the partner of choice for digital transformation across AEC, Energy, and emerging industries.
  • Outcome Focus: Consistently achieve or exceed quota, maintaining a robust 120-day rolling forecast and delivering results that move the needle for both your clients and DroneDeploy.
Requirements:
  • We are open to sales professionals across multiple segments, including High Velocity, Mid-Market and Enterprise. Ideal candidates bring 1 to 7+ years of full-cycle, quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Experience selling into AEC, Energy, or other field-based or emerging industries is strongly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy, make high-stakes decisions, and deliver results in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
  • Consultative, solution-oriented approach—skilled at uncovering needs, building consensus, and driving value at every stage of the sales cycle.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and an ability to quickly adopt new sales and AI tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Why Join DroneDeploy?
  • Impact: Shape the future of construction technology and leave your mark on iconic projects worldwide.
  • Autonomy: Be trusted to make strategic decisions, and drive outcomes that matter.
  • Growth: Influence the rollout of new AI products and emerging technologies.
  • Culture: Join a collaborative team that values innovation, initiative, and continuous learning.
  • Flexibility: Work remotely, with the opportunity to be in the field 50%+.
